Kari comes from a ranching family who homesteaded in Smith Valley. She knows the meaning of hard work and getting the job done. She started in dentistry as a dental assistant and worked in that role for seven years. She thought she might want to go into nursing and volunteered in hospitals before realizing she really missed the atmosphere of a dental office. Kari decided she wanted to expand her scope in dentistry and moved to Boise Idaho in 2013 to attend the Dental Hygiene Program through Carrington College. She graduated in 2015 and moved back to Reno shortly after.

Kari says that her favorite part of being a dental hygienist is interacting with the patients. She enjoys meeting new people and the relationships she is able to build through oral hygiene care and education. Kari also enjoys the collaboration of a team and working with her Floss family to create a great experience for our patients.

When Kari is not helping our patients maintain a beautiful smile and healthy mouth, you can find her and her husband traveling the world, helping bale hay on her family’s ranch, hiking with the dogs, or spending time with friends and family.
