The holidays are almost upon us again which is a reminder that the end of the year is right around the corner. This also means that you likely have dental insurance benefits left that you could lose if you do not use them! This would be tragic! Approximately 90% of dental insurance benefits renew on January 1st.
Use Your Dental Insurance Benefits for Preventative Care
Insurance allowances can range from $1,000 – $5,000 as an average for each calendar year, which usually includes two cleanings, two exams and preventative x-rays. You can also have diagnosed treatment completed up to your maximum benefits. Treatment such as fillings, crowns, periodontics, endodontics, oral surgery and implants generally fall within your allowed benefits depending on your dental insurance plan.
You especially want to complete any treatment diagnosed if you have already started treatment during the benefit year. This is a financial advantage, because that means you have met your annual deductible. Deductibles are basically a one-time fee for your first restorative appointment and can be anywhere from $25 – $100. Your deductible will be due again once the new year begins.
It’s always a good idea to use your benefits since they will not roll over into the next year. It would be a shame to let them go to waste! We look forward to hearing from you!
