All-on-Four Implant Dentures
All-on-Four Implant Dentures
There are many solutions for missing teeth, but one of the most efficient, non-invasive, and permanent solutions for full restoration of top and bottom teeth is All-on-Four implant dentures.
Rather than an implant for each missing tooth, All-on-Four implants use four to six implants that permanently secure the entire row of new teeth.
What is an All-on-Four implant?
An All-on-Four implant is a dental implant procedure that can replace all of your teeth on either the top or bottom with only four to six implants. Implants are small screw-like inserts that fit into the jaw bone and replaces the tooth root for a missing tooth. An All-on-Four implant denture uses four of these implants – two in the front and two in the posterior – and then permanently attaches the dental prosthesis in place. This gives the patient a complete new set of teeth with a minimally invasive procedure. Also, the implants and denture are permanently fixed (only removable by your dentist), and the increased stability from the implants can prevent future bone loss in the jaw.
Who is a candidate for All-on-Four implant dentures?
As we age, tooth loss is very common. Patients who have significant tooth loss or decay are candidates for All-on-Four implants. The implants replace either the entire upper or lower set of teeth, or both in some cases. They are permanent and give the patient a completely new smile with four to six implants on the upper and lower jaws vs an individual implant for each missing tooth.
How are All-on-Four implants different than traditional dental implants?
All-on-Four implants attach to the upper or lower jaw in four places. Traditional implants require an implant for every single missing tooth, individually. All-on-Four is much less invasive with better results. It is a solution for patients who are missing all or most of their upper or lower teeth or their current teeth are non-restorable. If you are missing only one or two teeth, then an individual implant for that tooth would be the best solution.
How are All-on-Four implants different than dentures?
Dentures are removable and require significant care and maintenance. They can also be uncomfortable and a hassle for the wearer. Dentures are a more antiquated solution to full tooth loss. All-on-Four implants replaces all the teeth on the top or bottom and is a permanent, non-removable solution to restore your smile and the function of your teeth.
How much do All-on-Four implants cost?

What is the procedure like for All-on-Four implants?
First, at your pre-procedure exam, Doc will take a CT (cone-beam) scans to get a precise mapping of your mouth and the ideal place for the four to six implants. You will discuss how you want your new teeth to look, shape, size, color etc. Next, your implants as well as your fixed prosthesis will be ordered from the lab with your precise measurements and goals accounted for. It takes about two to three weeks from the date of order for the implants and prosthesis to be shipped to our office and ready for your surgery date.
Most of the work is done while you are out of the office with the lab technicians and Doc so that the day of your surgery it is smooth and efficient. At your appointment for the implant (and possible extractions) procedure, Doc uses a custom designed surgical CT guided stents for the placement of the implants and seating of your prosthesis making your visit more streamlined and predictable, resulting in a much better and precise outcome.
